12/31/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: QMHP-C greeted Laylah upon arrival to the home setting. Upon arrival to the home setting, Laylah appeared to be in a positive mood evident by her facial expressions such as a smile on the face. QMHP-C inquired about her day. She verbalized to QMHP-C that her day was going well. QMHP-C informed Laylah that this session was going to focus on anger management. 2. Behavior: Laylah contributed to the session and did not need any redirection throughout the session as she participated fully in session. Laylah became frustrated at times of the session because her mother was discussing what she was not going to be tolerating this year while Laylah blames her actions and behaviors on her peers within the school, home and community setting. 1. Intervention: QMHP-C began the session by inquiring about Laylah’s current thoughts, feelings and emotions. QMHP-C engaged Laylah and Ms. Boone in a mother /daughter exercise to teach them both how to be actively listen and communicate with each other in a positive manner without being negative, and engaging in negative confrontation. QMHP-C had to redirect Laylah on numerous occasions as she likes to talk over people and doesn't know how to listen thoroughly. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C modeled age-appropriate ways for Laylah to communicate with her mother instead of acting out by calling names and taught her how to eliminate disrespectful behaviors. QMHP-C discussed how her picking behaviors causes others to become angry and upset as well as how her behaviors are projected onto others as negative. QMHP-C had Laylah and Ms. Boone to discuss positive things about each other and openly discussed each. 1. Response: Laylah appeared to be receptive to QMHP-Cs’ interventions and services that were provided to her during the session. Laylah and Ms. Boone both participated in the exercise as Laylah had to be redirected on several occasions. 2. Response: Laylah was refusing to listen and talk through the activity indicating that she knows how to communicate when she wants something and when she needs to when it is appropriate. QMHP-C educated Laylah on how this session wouldn’t have to focus on strengthening her communication if she knew how; therefore, it is necessary this session be conducted.
